There was a little girl who had a BIG dream! She wanted to become a princess, a scientist, a writer, a wife, an olympic gold medalist, a teacher, so many things, with all her heart. But for this little one, her dream faded to a nightmare that struck a crushing blow, a slap, a 'hit', a rape, a run to escape, and too many shameful tears to hide.

Where can she go? What can she do? Is there anything beyond temporary beds, roofless rooms in a park, blankets beneath bridges that connect her to nowhere? What is left that she can salvage to hope or dream again? Can her heart, self-esteem and emotions overcome the breach of such humiliation to be restored and healed?

Any person can be a victim. Abuse is no respecter of persons. Overcoming devastating personal experiences, brought me to a compassion and sensitivity that make it impossible not to do something to bring awareness to this malady. Significant change, help and hope to its victims are absolutes and urgent musts.
